Employees of Clinical Departments at ZSMPhU Achieve Success in 11 Interregional and Regional Specialized Medical Centers Equipped with Modern Diagnostic and Treatment Equipment
 

At the Center for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery,

staff of the Department of Hospital Surgery at ZSMPhU provided consultations to 256 patients and performed 25 surgeries. A total of 70 rounds, 12 consultations, and 40 clinical shifts were conducted. Minimally invasive procedures for vascular aneurysms were implemented, with ongoing development of surgical methods for pulmonary embolism (PE) prevention, treatment of Nutcracker Syndrome, and pelvic venous pathology.
 

At the Cardiac Surgery Center,

the Department of Hospital Surgery specialists consulted nearly 1,500 patients, performed 600 surgeries, assisted in 760 operations, and conducted 80 minimally invasive interventions along with 220 clinical shifts. Additionally, 40 clinical rounds and 40 diagnostic procedures were completed. Procedures performed include heart valve and aortic surgeries with mechanical ventilation, coronary artery bypass grafting, correction of congenital heart defects, thoracoscopic surgeries, and mini-thoracotomy heart operations.
 

In the Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics,

academic staff of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics provided consultations to 2,675 patients and performed 1,522 surgical interventions, including 640 osteosyntheses and 184 intramedullary fixations. Over the year, 756 patients received care, resulting in 1,162 surgeries.
 

At the Regional Center for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy,  

the Department of Internal Medicine 3 treated 311 patients. Innovations include endoscopic stenting for esophageal strictures, biologic therapy using  (tofacitinib) for ulcerative colitis, and Crohn's Disease Activity Index (CDAI) for assessing inflammatory bowel disease.
 

In the Regional Center for Allergology and Dermatology,

Department of Internal Medicine 3 staff examined and treated 140 patients. Notable achievements include the use of immunoglobulin in systemic sclerosis treatment, genetic phenotype research for Stevens-Johnson Syndrome diagnosis, and IL-17 inhibitor secukinumab for psoriatic arthritis.
 

At the Specialized Center for Liver, Bile Duct, and Pancreatic Surgery,

the Department of Faculty Surgery staff consulted nearly 1,000 patients, conducted 219 surgeries and 84 surgical assists, and performed over 200 minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopic and endoscopic operations, and performed cytoreductive surgeries and interventional sonographic procedures . A total of 573 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, 93 complex interventional procedures, 230 rounds, and 31 consultations were carried out.The improvement of surgical interventions using minimally invasive techniques for diseases of the hepatopancreatobiliary region continues.
 

In the Angioneurology Center,

the Department of Neurology staff provided consultations to 970 patients. They continue implementing personalized treatment approaches for stroke patients based on assessments of neurological deficits, brain structure changes, cerebral hemodynamics, and bioelectrical activity.
 

In the Pediatric Urology Center,

the Department of Pediatric Surgery treated 135 patients and performed 106 surgeries, including 26 endoscopic procedures. Modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of obstructive uropathies and other kidney and urinary tract disorders are actively used: cystourethroscopy, endoscopic stenting of ureters, balloon dilation of strictures in the ureteral orifice, pyeloureteral segment of the ureters, and endoscopic correction of vesicoureteral reflux. Laparoscopic surgeries for varicocele and pathology of the vaginal process of the peritoneum, as well as the Marmara procedure with the use of a surgical loupe, have been implemented. Remote lithotripsy for pediatric urolithiasis is conducted with the involvement of specialists from specialized clinics, along with one-step surgical correction of complex forms of hypospadias 
 

At the Modern Pediatric Allergology and Pulmonology Center,

the Faculty of Pediatrics provided consultations to 614 children, including 476 by allergologists. A total of 647 skin prick tests for allergens were conducted, along with 32 intradermal tests and 21 provocation tests. Comprehensive diagnostics for respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and renal diseases were conducted.The center continuously conducts in-depth research on diseases of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems, gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, and hepatobiliary system. The implementation of spirometry, allergy testing, monitoring of external respiratory function, bronchodilator and provocation tests, laboratory examinations, X-ray diagnostics, as well as comprehensive immunological and virological investigations, is ongoing. Respiratory diseases rank first in the structure of morbidity.
 
Extensive scientific work continues in areas such as urticaria and angioedema (including hereditary), drug allergies in children, the consequences of COVID-19 in children, and the immunological aspects of adenoid vegetations and allergic rhinitis in children.
 
The center constantly integrates new and advanced methods of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of allergic and respiratory diseases in children, focusing on the latest recommendations, guidelines, and protocols for these conditions in children, based on evidence.
 
 

At the Center for In Vitro Fertilization and Genetic Screening,

part of the Regional Children's Hospital, the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Medicine conducted 1,243 consultations and treated 286 patients. The laboratory conducted 49 IVF cycles, and sperm cryopreservation services for military personnel were provided free of charge.The cryobank of embryos is being expanded, significantly increasing women's chances of achieving pregnancy. Ovulation stimulation protocols in in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles are being improved based on the refinement of risk groups for ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and resistant ovary syndrome. Innovative medical treatments are being introduced, resulting in 43.2% of patients achieving biochemical pregnancy in IVF and ICSI cycles, and 48.3% of patients in cryocycles. The department's staff provides highly qualified andrological care using both conservative and surgical treatment methods, leading to a 43% restoration of male fertility.
 
 

In the Dermatology Center

at the University Clinic, the Department of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology provided 7,744 consultations and treated 570 inpatients. Modern methods such as digital dermatoscopy and trichoscopy were employed, along with advanced therapies for various skin conditions. Using digital dermatoscopy, 93 examinations were conducted, while standard dermatoscopy was applied in 271 cases. Automatic mole mapping of the entire body was performed on 27 individuals. Hair condition diagnostics using trichoscopy were carried out for 112 patients. Ultrasound diagnostics were performed in 38 cases. Modern methods of therapy for skin conditions and diseases are being implemented. Phototherapy using the "Psorolight" cabin was conducted 1,050 times. A total of 198 benign skin neoplasms were removed using the BOWA ARS400 electrosurgical apparatus.
