On 30 September 2026, the results of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027 were published — one of the most authoritative international rankings of higher education institutions, which annually evaluates universities based on a comprehensive set of indicators covering their educational, research, and international activities.

 

For the first time, Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University has entered this influential ranking — a landmark result for ZSMPhU that confirms its high academic and research potential. Only 25 higher education institutions from Ukraine are represented in this year’s ranking, and Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University is the only institution representing Zaporizhzhia Oblast. For the entire University community, ZSMPhU’s inclusion in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027 is an important step in strengthening the University’s reputation on the global educational and academic map.

 

The THE methodology provides a comprehensive assessment of universities across five key areas: teaching (the learning environment), research environment, research quality, international outlook, and industry. This approach makes it possible to evaluate universities across a broad range of indicators and present their activities within the international academic community.

 

ZSMPhU’s inclusion in the Times Higher Education ranking is an important result of the University’s systematic work and a recognition of its educational, research, and international achievements. It reflects the University’s consistent development and its compliance with international standards of quality in higher education.

 

Amid the full-scale war, despite security challenges and the difficult conditions surrounding the organisation of the educational process and research activities, the University continues to develop, maintain international partnerships, enhance its educational environment, and provide training for future professionals.
