Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University is situated in the south of Ukraine in the historical center of Zaporizhzhia cossacks, the city of Zaporizhzhia.

The population of Zaporizhzhia is about 1 million people.

Zaporizhzhia region is located in the maritime - steppe zone: summer is hot (an average temperature is 20,7°C-23,6°C, winter is mild (an average temperature is -4°C).

Zaporizhzhia is a large industrial, scientific and cultural center. It has 8 higher educational institutions and many colleges. It is a center of metallurgical industry, aircraft engines production and instrument-making industry. There are all necessary facilities for comfortable life of students in Zaporizhzhia:

• a well-developed network of cheap transport (buses, trolleybuses, trams);
• taxi (municipal and private);
• one can get to any city or town in Ukraine from the railway station;
• international flights are being made from Zaporizhzhia airport;
• the consumer goods basket is affordable, all food can be bought at food markets or in supermarkets.

There are a lot of products from European countries. Many large supermarkets are situated near the University and offer a wide range of products. There are many cafes and restaurants in Zaporizhzhia.
