Zhanna RAGRINA, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Language Training.

Deputy dean:

Alona REPETUN, Lecturer of the Department of Language Training.

Field of training: pre-university training of foreign students for further study at higher education institutions of Ukraine in medical and biological specialties.

Objectives of training:

• mastering Ukrainian language in the volume allowing to realize further studying and to communicate in educational, professional, social, everyday, and cultural spheres;
• obtaining subject knowledge necessary for further study at higher education institutions.

Type of education: full-time, contract basis.

Medium of instruction: Ukrainian.

Period of study: 1 year.

Historical Reference

International Faculty No. 1 was founded in 1973.

Since 2004, Associate Professor Zhanna Ragrina has been the Dean of the Faculty.

More than 6,000 foreign citizens from 101 countries have been prepared for studying at higher education institutions since the beginning.

Students Training

At the International Faculty No. 1 foreign students study Ukrainian Language, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Basics of Informatics and Computer Technologies, Country Studies.

Candidates of Sciences and Associate Professors of the Department of Language Training are involved in teaching process. Many of them have undergone the probation in the countries of Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Textbooks, manuals, numerous methodical recommendations, and workbooks are being issued by the Faculty staff.

The academic year comprises two semesters. At the end of each term (January and June) students take tests and examinations in studied disciplines.

Students have their classes in groups of 10 persons. Classes are conducted in auditoriums equipped with modern computer technologies. Scientific library, reading halls, and Internet are at the disposal of students.

After graduating from the Faculty students get a certificate, which enables them to enter higher education institutions of Ukraine and countries of CIS.
