The Department was founded on January 1, 2016, by an order of the Rector of ZSMPhU.

• Third- and fourth-year students majoring in "Technologies of Medical Diagnostics and Treatment" pass practical training in Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics and Biological and Clinical Chemistry at the clinical bases of the Department.

Educational and Methodical Work

The education of students at the Department is based on the principles of providing methodical and informational organization of the educational process with elements of independent work, as well as on the introduction of new effective forms of knowledge and skills control. A database of 5,000 tests has been developed for the knowledge control and preparation of students for the KROK licensing exams.

Original lectures, practical classes for students are conducted using multimedia and the latest technologies (educational films and atlases, test questionnaires, abstracts, etc.). In order to improve the practical skills of students at the Department uses visual aids, films.

Scientific Directions and Achievements

The main direction of scientific work of the Department is the study and analysis of the features of modern methods of laboratory research.

The leading topic of the Department is the study of factors of endogenous cytoprotection and the development of new effective ways of diagnosis and treatment of heart disease and pathology of the central nervous system. The research of the Department: "Development of New Effective Ways of Diagnosis and Endogenous Cytoprotection of Ischemic Injuries of Coronary and Cerebral Circulation" (state No. 102301020).

Cooperation with Other Institutions

The Department conducts comprehensive research together with the Medical, Biological and Therapeutic departmentsour University, International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology, ESCBM, as well as with the departments of Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics, Laboratory Diagnostics and General Pathology of Zaporizhzhia Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (Kyiv), Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the NAMS of Ukraine(Kyiv).

Advisory and Diagnostic Activities

Diagnostic, therapeutic and advisory work is performed in the Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory and departments of the University Clinic MESC.
