In October 2008, the Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 15/04/2008 No. 82-0 "On the reorganization of the Zaporizhzhia Basin Hospital of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine", created a treatment and prevention unit named a Medical Educational and Scientific Center "University Clinic".

The leading aspects of the University Clinic are following:

• providing specialized medical care;
• conducting researches;
• ensuring the educational process of students, masters, clinical residents and postgraduate students of the university;
• advanced training of medical workers.

ZSMU University Clinic is a leading medical institution in the Zaporizhzhia oblast, providing multidisciplinary highly-qualified medical care to population.

Therapeutic and diagnostic work in the university clinic is conducted by 25 professors, 14 associate professors, 26 candidates of sciences, 66 medical professionals of the highest category.

There are 9 ZSMU departments at the premises of the University Clinic.

The Clinic develops individual treatment and rehabilitation programs (medical, physical, psychological, social) for patients, as well as determines opportunities to improve the quality of life of patients.

Inpatient departments of the clinic are the basis for the development of practical skills of interns in the specialties "General Practice (Family Medicine)", "Internal Medicine" and "Nervous Diseases".

The University Clinic is located in the city center, has access to a well-developed highway.
