Indian Students Shine in Vyshyvankas

At the Berehove campus of the Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University (ZSMPhU), a warm and symbolic celebration of Vyshyvanka Day took place with the participation of Indian medical students. For international students, this event became an opportunity to get closer acquainted with Ukrainian traditions, to feel the atmosphere of national unity, and to express respect for our culture  while studying in Ukraine.

The participation of Indian students in the celebration demonstrated intercultural openness, genuine interest, and friendly support. The students paid special attention to the symbolism of Ukrainian embroidery, its patterns, colors, and regional features. For many of them, it became an opportunity to better understand the depth of Ukrainian cultural tradition and its significance for contemporary Ukrainian society.

Lecturer at the Berehove campus, Assistant of the Department of Hospital Pediatrics Natalia Zakharchenko noted that such events have important educational and unifying value. They contribute not only to the promotion of Ukrainian culture among international students, but also to the formation of a friendly academic environment based on mutual respect, tolerance, and open dialogue between representatives of different nations.

For future doctors, intercultural communication is a particularly important component of professional development. The medical profession requires not only solid knowledge and practical skills, but also humanity, empathy, and respect for the traditions and values of other people.

The celebration of Vyshyvanka Day at the Berehove campus became a vivid example of how Ukrainian traditions can unite students from different countries around the world.
