The annual global ranking of research institutions, the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR), has been published. The ranking compiled by the SCImago research group is based exclusively on objective data, publications in journals indexed in the Scopus scientific content database.

 

According to the 2026 SIR results, Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University achieved the following rankings: 23rd among 75 higher education institutions in Ukraine, 5th among medical universities in Ukraine, and 1st among higher education institutions in Zaporizhzhia.

 

The SCImago Institutions Rankings have been published since 2009. Research institutions are evaluated using a composite indicator that takes into account several key parameters: the citation impact of scientific publications, the influence of research on the international scientific community, and the level of innovation activity.

Notably, in terms of innovation activity, ZSMPhU ranks 10th among all universities in Ukraine in the SCImago ranking.
