At nine o’clock in the morning, graduates of the International Faculty — citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria studying Pharmacy at ZSMPhU — joined the university online. Before beginning the defense of their master’s theses, the international students observed a minute of silence, which the university holds daily to honor the memory of fallen defenders of Ukraine.
“The defense of master’s theses is the final component of the comprehensive Attestation of our graduates,” commented Associate Professor Taras Ivanenko, Dean of the International Faculty. Their Attestation is conducted in a three-part format. The first component was the written KROK licensing test, followed by the Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE). All students successfully completed the virtual simulation pharmacy cases and approached the defense of their master’s theses with confidence.”
A qualified Attestation Committee, chaired by Professor Liudmyla Kucherenko, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical, Organic, and Bioorganic Chemistry, assesses the level of the master’s research.
“All theses fully comply with the regulations governing master’s works, were submitted to the committee on time, underwent detailed peer review and pre-defense, are completed at a high academic level, demonstrate scientific novelty, and include properly cited sources,” noted the Professor. “The master’s students explored contemporary topics, which confirms their strong professional preparation. These students studied at the university for five and a half years, consistently attended online sessions in a disciplined manner, diligently mastered the coursework, and clearly understood the importance of obtaining a higher education diploma in their chosen profession.”
