Sectional Sessions of the “Zaporizhzhia Pharmaceutical Forum – 2025”

The main event of the year in Ukraine’s pharmaceutical science sector is underway – the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation, “Zaporizhzhia Pharmaceutical Forum – 2025.”

Yesterday, the plenary session took place online at Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University, with presentations delivered by   scientists from Estonia, Spain, Colombia, and leading universities across Ukraine.

Today, sectional sessions continue, moderated by Professors Lyudmyla Kucherenko, Andriy Kaplaushenko, Oleksandr Panasenko, Serhiy Trzhetsynskyi, Oleh Kraidashenko, Ivan Bilay, Inna Bushuieva, Vitaliy Hladyshev, Natalia Tkachenko, and Oleksiy Ryzhov.

Experts in pharmaceutical science discussed a wide range of industry challenges and achievements. The central focus was on modern approaches to developing innovative active pharmaceutical ingredients, both synthetic and natural, as well as the creation of new medicinal substances based on them.

Special attention was given to contemporary methods for studying medicinal plant materials, issues of phytopreparation standardization, and the challenges encountered during their development. Participants also reviewed the current state and future prospects of preclinical research and clinical trials of medicinal products in Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of pharmaceutical care grounded in evidence-based medicine.

A separate session focused on experimental pharmacology and toxicology, particularly modern methods for evaluating the safety and efficacy of medicinal products. Equally important were discussions on pharmaceutical, physicochemical, and chemico-toxicological analyses, including the use of advanced instrumental techniques in forensic and expert investigations.

Forum participants also explored trends in the production of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, as well as the development of new dosage forms, therapeutic systems, and delivery methods for active ingredients.

A key focus was on the managerial, organizational, and legal aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, issues related to the economic optimization of the development, production, and distribution of medicinal products, as well as the implementation of information and digital technologies in pharmacy.

Social pharmacy, marketing, pharmacoeconomics, and socio-economic aspects of medical and pharmaceutical practice were also actively discussed. The forum concluded with a session highlighting achievements in pharmaceutical education and the implementation of innovative educational technologies aimed at preparing highly competitive specialists for the industry.
