Professional Online Discussions

Lecturers of Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University (ZSMPhU) took part in a round table dedicated to corpus lexicography. The event was held within the framework of the project “European Studies for Supporting Polish Education and Research in Digital Transformation: Interdisciplinary Approach (ESPERIDTA)” (Grant Agreement 101172710 – ERASMUS-JMO-2024-HEI-TCH-RSCH), co-financed by the European Union.

The roundtable summarized the results of the Winter School and brought together approximately 90 participants from higher education institutions in Ukraine and abroad.

The topic of the final discussion was the pedagogical rethinking of corpus lexicography in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) — how corpus data and large language models can complement each other in the educational process, in the creation of learning dictionaries, and in the development of academic language competence.

Lecturers of the Department of Foreign Languages at Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University — Professor Alla Kulichenko-Chuhina, Associate Professor Alla Oleksiienko, and Lecturer Hanna Liushynska — took part in thematic discussions focused on the application of digital technologies in language education.

The event provided participants with an opportunity to exchange professional experience, discuss modern language teaching methodologies, the development of electronic corpora and digital dictionaries, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in the educational process.
