We are pleased to invite you to the webinar «From Analysis to Practice – Using Conversation Analysis to Shape National Health Policy and Train Healthcare Professionals: Insights from the United Kingdom» which will take place on May 6, 2025, at 16:00 on the Microsoft Teams platform.
During this unique event, you will learn how research in clinical communication can directly influence health policy and the education of healthcare professionals.
Our keynote speaker, Charlotte Albury, a leading expert in medical anthropology and conversation analysis from the University of Oxford, will present the results of six years of work on the TalkWeL project, which explores effective communication strategies with individuals living with obesity to support their weight management journey.
This webinar will provide insights into how real clinical conversation analysis contributes to the development of training materials and enhances healthcare communication practices. Charlotte will also share her experiences collaborating with patients, clinicians, trainers, and other professionals, and will explain how the project findings have been integrated into national clinical communication guidelines.
