3D Organon at the Berehove Campus
Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University actively applies cutting-edge educational technologies to train highly qualified medical professionals. One of the most innovative tools in the learning process is 3D Organon, a virtual anatomy learning platform.
This technology opens up students unique opportunities to explore anatomical structures in a three-dimensional space in detail. They can examine organs, tissues, and systems from multiple angles, and analyze their interconnections and structures, with high-quality 3D visualization. This improves understanding of complex anatomical material and contributes to the effective learning of the material.
It is important to note that currently 3D Organon is actively used at the new ZSMPhU location, the Zakarpattia campus in Berehove. This interactive learning format is available not only to ZSMPhU students based at this campus but also to students of the Berehove Medical Professional College, enabling them to master anatomy at an entirely new level, starting from the very first stages of learning.
Among the advantages of using 3D Organon in the educational process is that students highlight its interactivity, as it allows them to manipulate anatomical structures, zoom in, rotate, and explore organs from the inside; realism, since VR technology creates a full immersion effect, making the learning experience as close as possible to practical training; and accessibility, as 3D Organon provides a convenient and visually engaging way to learn complex material.
In the future, the university plans to expand the application of 3D Organon, in particular for the study of clinical disciplines, and to develop integrated courses using VR technology. Additionally, the University is also working on improving methodological resources, that will ensure more effective usage of digital tools in medical education.
Thanks to the introduction of innovative educational technologies, ZSMPhU continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading medical universities in Ukraine, providing students with cutting-edge learning methodologies.
