An extended online meeting was held between the team of Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University and the international company Medis Media, 3D Organon, a leading developer of 3D anatomy software.
Rector of ZSMPhU, Professor Yurii Kolesnyk, expressed gratitude to long-term partners for their fruitful cooperation and support. In his welcome speech, he emphasized that integrating interactive 3D anatomy technologies is no longer just a challenge but a pressing necessity for modern medical education. Yurii Mykhailovych proudly announced the opening of the Scientific and Educational Laboratory of Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence "3D Anatomy" at the ZSMPhU, a unique platform for integrating innovative technologies into medical education.
Associate Professor Maksym Shcherbakov, Head of the Department of Human Anatomy, Operative Surgery, and Topographic Anatomy, and Serhii Nakonechnyi, Associate Professor of the Department of Propaedeutic of Internal Medicine, Radiology, and Radiation Therapy, highlighted the advantages and practical applications of 3D Organon’s medical software in training students, interns, and future doctors.
Athanasios Raikos, Head of the Medis Media, 3D Organon office, expressed admiration for the University team, which continues to develop despite the challenges of wartime. He acknowledged the university’s commitment to enhancing its material and technical base, conducting research, and encouraging students to embrace medical studies through advanced technology. The company presented a series of software updates and assured that ZSMPhU would be among the first to test and implement these innovations in medical training.
