ZSMPhU Presented Its Achievements in Digitalization

As part of the Ukrainian-Swiss project "Medical Education Development," the first School of Digitalization in Medical Education took place—a two-day deep dive into digital opportunities for educators and academic professionals. Today, simply teaching students is not enough. It is important to stay ahead, think proactively, and integrate modern digital technologies into the educational process. Digitalization in education is not just about technology but effective solutions that transform teaching methods.

The School of Digitalization assembled representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, leading cybersecurity experts, project management specialists, facilitators, and educators. Among the key speakers was Serhii Ubohov, Head of the Department of Medical Personnel, Education, and Science of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, who presented insights into the implementation of the electronic distribution system for medical internships. Snizhana Rakcheieva, Press Secretary of the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Education, Science, and Technology Development—Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, shared practical advice and real-world examples of government communication strategies for reforms and projects. Vadym Terentiuk, Head of the Project and Program Management Department at State Enterprise "Electronic Health," and Associate Professor at the Department of Health Management at Bogomolets National Medical University, focused on digitalization and digital transformation in healthcare.

Professor Oleksii Ryzhov, Head of the Department of Medical and Pharmaceutical Informatics and Modern Technologies; Associate Professor Zhanna Rahrina, The Rector's Advisor on International Cooperation; and Associate Professor Ihor Kachan from the Department of Therapy and Cardiology represented ZSMPhU at the event. Our colleagues presented ZSMPhU’s achievements in digitalization and a report "MS Teams as a Successful Educational and Management Tool in Higher Education Institutions." Their presentation inspired a lively discussion and further debate.

By actively implementing digital education solutions, ZSMPhU continues to improve the quality of medical education and contribute to the future of healthcare digitalization.
