Today, first-year medical interns specializing in Laboratory Diagnostics, Microbiology, and Virology are taking the KROK 3 licensing exam.
The candidates must answer 150 test questions divided into key sections: quality management in laboratory research, hematological laboratory methods, physicochemical and morphological studies of biological materials, cytological diagnostics of tumors and precancerous conditions, general and specialized microbiology, and general and molecular virology.
The Assistant Professor of the Department of Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics and supervisor of the interns in this specialty, Kateryna Levchenko, emphasized that the interns have successfully completed in-person training at the department. During lectures, practical sessions, and seminars, significant attention was given to preparing for the licensing exam.
According to the Testing Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the purpose of the integrated KROK 3 exam is to evaluate whether qualified specialists with higher education have acquired the professional competencies outlined in the Standard Internship Program for Laboratory Diagnostics, Microbiology, and Virology. The exam also assesses their readiness to begin effective laboratory practice in compliance with national and international standards.
Let us wish our medical interns success as they take this important step in their professional journey!
