Within the memorandum of cooperation between ZSMPhU and Sigmund Freud University (Sigmund Freud University, Vienna, Austria), the summer medical internships of employees of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics took place at the Traumazentrum Wien—Standort Meidling, which was a significant step both in the professional training of doctors and in cooperation between universities.
Vienna's Traumazentrum Wien-Standort Meidling is known for its high experience in traumatology and orthopedics. Our colleagues worked under the guidance of professors Christian Fialka and Michael Georg Smola, the leading specialists in their field. As an experienced and respected teacher, Professor Smola guided our colleagues at all stages of the internship, which contributed to strengthening inter-university cooperation. The approach of Professor Christian Fialka, based on the combination of traditional and modern technologies, made it possible to gain invaluable professional experience and get acquainted with the most modern methods of providing care to patients.
The clinic staff, from doctors and nurses to administrative staff, showed exceptional care and support. The team created an atmosphere where you could freely learn, ask questions, and receive valuable advice. Experienced doctors willingly shared their knowledge and practical experience, and their mentorship helped them better understand complex medical processes and procedures.
Cooperation with Viennese colleagues continues: new internships are planned for September, and negotiations are underway to develop joint projects and ideas.
