The method of simulation training has become the gold standard of medical education in the world because it allows students to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills that will be necessary for them in everyday medical practice. Simulators, dummies, and training devices help students to practice their skills, as required by modern standards of medical care. It also helps to learn from their own mistakes, without harming patients.
Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University is rightly considered a pioneer in the introduction of simulation technologies into the educational process back in 2012, thanks to the EU TEMPUS program, problem-oriented training using virtual patients was implemented for the first time at ZSMPhU. The next stage was the creation of an educational and training class for the Department of Disaster Medicine and Military Medicine, followed by the opening of the modern Interdepartmental Training Center in 2018 and the Educational and Scientific Medical Training Center in 2021. Currently, ZSMPhU has an extensive system of simulation training for each specialty, which provides not only a high level of training but also minimizes stress for students and interns. It provides an opportunity to repeat the manipulation an unlimited number of times.
