The international project in action

The active phase of the ZSMPhU participation in the Ukrainian-Swiss project "Development of medical education" began. The project is implemented in Ukraine by the Swiss Institute of Tropical and Public Health Swiss TPH (Basel, Switzerland) and is financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

The beneficiary of the Project is the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The first important step of cooperation was the holding of the meeting of the Supervisory Board of the project. The key tasks of the meeting were to highlight the previous results of the activity, as well as outline further plans, and approve the list of measures and activities for 2024.

The meeting was opened by the project leader, Martin Raab, who thanked all those present and talked about the key aspects of cooperation: the representatives of the many Ministries also visited the project: the representative of the Ministry of Health Serhiy Dubrov, the representative of the Ministry of Education and Science Mykhailo Vynnytskyi,  the representative of the Department of Medical Personnel, Education and Science of the Ministry of Health, Serhiy Ubogov,  the representative of the National Agency for Ensuring the Quality of Education Olena Yeremenko, the representatives of the World Health Organization, and the World Bank. The rectors of participating universities and heads of state institutions also visited the meeting.

The list of measures designed to provide comprehensive training of medical specialists and improve medical education was approved during the meeting.
