Foreigners from the Republic of India, who graduated from ZDMPhU this year in the specialty "Medicine" and received diplomas, did not rush to say goodbye to the university, but expressed a desire to improve their practical skills at the postgraduate stage.
"This is a unique case," said Associate Professor Taras Ivanenko, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Dean of the International Faculty No. 2. "Undoubtedly, this is caused by the great trust of foreign students in our university. During their studies, they gained the highest quality knowledge, and also got assured that only we continue to train doctors according to European and world standards."
The university gladly responded to the offer of graduates. The Administration, the Dean's Office, and the academic department have developed a two-week training plan, which will be implemented on the basis of the Interdepartmental Training Center, the Educational Medical Scientific Training Center, and the OSCE Center of ZSMPhU.
During the first two days at the Interdepartmental Training Center, two groups of foreigners will work in the therapeutic direction, improving practical skills in internal medicine.
Today, lecturer Liliia Akimova conducted a practical class on therapy for the first group: first, the students familiarized themselves with the theoretical unit, watched an educational film, and then focused on the technique of recording an electrocardiogram and its interpretation. In addition, foreign doctors examined and discussed some electrocardiograms with the most common heart diseases, trained on cardiac simulators. Inna Chorna, Associate Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 3, worked with the second group in the same format.
Training in pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, the course on "Emergencies in Doctor's Practice" are planned for the next few days. At all stages, young foreign specialists will be accompanied by highly qualified university lecturers, and high-tech educational equipment will be at their service at the training sites.
