ZSMU Administration Meeting

Today, the Rector of Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, Professor Yuriy Kolesnyk, held a meeting of the Administration of ZSMU. At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Kolesnyk informed the members of the Administration about the procedure for creating a new institution of higher and postgraduate education, namely Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University, in accordance with the relevant decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, adopted at the government meeting on October 28, 2022.

The Cabinet of Ministers created the Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University, and it will be accountable to the Ministry of Health. It is important that after the merger of educational institutions, students who are currently studying at ZMAPE and ZSMU will continue to acquire the education they have started in the chosen specialties at the newly created Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University, Professor Kolesnyk noted.

Associate Professor Svitlana Morhuntsova, Pro-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical, Educational Work, and Quality of Education, reported on the current issues of the educational process, in particular, the work carried out by the deans' offices and the Educational Department on the implementation of the CMU Resolution No. 1224 and monitoring of the educational process. The month of state language continues at the Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, and Associate Professor Morhuntsova invited all those interested to take part in the written dictation of national unity and other thematic events.

The deans of the faculties analyzed the academic activity and performance of students, and also informed about their attestation.

Professor Yurii Riabokon, the Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, spoke about the preparation for taking the KROK-3 licensing exam by interns, as well as the safety measures that are provided during its conduct.

The faculty works fruitfully in all areas of postgraduate education. Despite the state of war and other difficulties, in comparison with the previous year as of October 1, the number of trainees at continuous professional development events increased significantly: from 60 to 1,476. This testifies to the high level and absolute relevance of the topics offered to practicing doctors by the teams of the faculty’s departments.

Olha Kileeva, the Director of the Medical Vocational College of ZSMU, reported that the college’s lecturers have started preparations for the development of tests for USQE, which will be introduced for vocational and junior bachelors.

Elina Kotliarevska, the Director of the University Clinic of ZSMU, informed that more than seventy servicemen were consulted by the clinic's specialists.

According to Assistant Rector Nataliia Baranova, the university is preparing for the next vaccination against COVID-19, the lists of those willing are being clarified, vaccination is scheduled to be carried out in the second half of November.

Traditionally, the state of payment for educational services, the implementation of safety measures, and other issues were reported at the meeting.
